This is a conformation portrait of two-time Breeder's Cup Classic Champion Tiznow. He won the Breeder's Cup Classic the second time weeks after 9/11 against champions from Europe and Japan and at a time when the country needed something to cheer about, they heard the famous call from the announcer, "Tiznow wins it for America". Meeting this horse on several occasions was all the inspiration that I needed. The painting process included a value underpainting and used several layers of glazing.
